Our caring team prides itself on providing clients with quality disability support, mental health and aged care services in Canberra and Queanbeyan. All our staff are professional, caring and fully vetted (Police checks are conducted prior to employment).

Mel McCann – Co-founder and Manager
Mel is a director and co-founder of Kapital Care Pty Ltd. Prior to Kapital Care, Mel worked extensively in aged care, then transitioned to the community sector. Mel has vocational qualifications in Community Services (Cert III and Cert IV), along with an Advanced Diploma in Community Sector Management. Mel has over 20 years of experience in the community care sector, and is highly familiar with the NDIS.
Gail McCann – Co-founder and Manager
Gail is a director and co-founder of Kapital Care Pty Ltd. Gail started her career in the community care sector some 22 years ago. Gail has vocational qualifications in Community Services (Cert III and Cert IV), along with an Advanced Diploma in Community Sector Management. Gail is passionate about making sure the right care and support is given to meet a client’s physical, emotional and mental needs.
Support Workers
Our team is comprised of dedicated support workers who specialise in disability support, mental health and/or aged care. Most of our support workers have vocational qualifications (Cert III / IV), along with extensive community care experience.
A number of our support workers have vocational qualifications in the following specialised areas:-
- Percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy (PEG) feeding
- Dysphagia management
- Bowel management
All our staff believe in providing supportive, quality care and working with the client to fulfill their health and social needs. Kapital Care values its staff highly – ensuring that all work health and safety (WHS) obligations are met.
HR and Compliance Manager
Viti Lilo is the Human Resources Manager at Kapital Care. Viti is a highly experienced HR professional with over 15 years’ experience in the field. Viti is caring and positive, yet self-motivated and efficient. Viti is qualified to handle any staff-related issue, including disciplinary matters, workers compensation claims, work health and safety (WHS) and industrial relations. Viti is a graduate of the University of the South Pacific (Suva, Fiji), and has qualifications in standard first aid, CPR and AED.
Coordinator
Christy Ber is the Coordinator at Kapital Care. Christy is responsible for managing the schedules and workloads of our support workers – to ensure that clients are taken care of. Christy has 15+ years’ experience as a support worker (Cert III qualified) and is also a trained hairdresser. Christy is currently undertaking further study towards her Advanced Diploma in Community Sector Management.
